Hilton Honors

Also known as: Hilton loyalty, Honors program, Hilton points

Hilton's hotel loyalty programme. Fully dynamic award pricing (no published chart). Subject to repeated stealth devaluations — September 2025 and March 2026 increased standard award rates by 5,000-30,000+ points overnight with no advance notice.

Hilton Honors is the loyalty programme for Hilton’s 22+ hotel brands worldwide — including Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, Hilton, DoubleTree, Hampton Inn, Embassy Suites, Home2 Suites, Tru, and more. It is one of the two largest hotel loyalty programmes globally and historically a competitor to Marriott Bonvoy on tier benefits.

Membership is free with four base tiers — **Member** (default), **Silver** (10 nights or 4 stays), **Gold** (40 nights or 20 stays), **Diamond** (60 nights or 30 stays). Gold and Diamond unlock fifth-night-free on award stays, complimentary breakfast at most non-Waldorf properties, room upgrades when available, and Diamond adds executive-lounge access at many brands. Status is also accessible through Hilton-branded credit cards (Aspire card includes Diamond status).

The defining characteristic of Hilton Honors in 2026 is **fully dynamic award pricing** — there is no published award chart, and the points required for any given night fluctuate continuously based on cash rates, demand, and proprietary algorithms. This makes the value of an earned point unpredictable and harder to maximise than competitors with capped or charted programmes.

Hilton Honors devalued points twice in the 18 months ending June 2026: a quiet September 2025 round that raised many standard awards by 5,000-30,000 points per night, and a March 2026 round that pushed the top luxury cap to **250,000 points per night** (up from earlier caps). Neither change was publicly announced; both were detected by loyalty trackers (One Mile at a Time, Head for Points, LoyaltyLobby) comparing before-and-after award searches. The pattern of stealth devaluations is the main reason many serious US travellers shifted to Marriott Bonvoy in 2026.
